Class Packs

Sessions are pre-purchased as class packages and are scheduled at time of purchase over a set period of consecutive weeks. Custom packages are available to meet your child’s unique needs and schedule.  

Pricing

Rates range on a sliding scale based on class pack type, session type, and session frequency.  Please inquire directly for pricing and availability.

Payment

Payment is accepted via cash, check, credit card, or ACH direct debit. Due to processing fees, credit card payments are subject to a 3% service charge, and ACH direct debit payments are subject to a 0.8% service charge ($5.00 cap). Payments via cash or check incur no additional fees.

You will receive an invoice via email once we have determined your class package. Applicable service charges will be included in your invoice based on your preferred method of payment. Payment is due prior to the first session of your purchased class package.

Scheduling

Sessions will be scheduled over a set period of consecutive weeks. For consistency, sessions will take place at the same day and time each week for the duration of the class package.

I follow the school-year schedule and can accommodate sessions around winter and spring breaks based on your family’s plans.

I understand that scheduling after-school activities can be a puzzle; I will work with you to find a time that makes sense for you and your busy schedule!

Session Overview

Sessions range in length from 1 - 3 hours depending on session type. We will focus on any combination of subjects as requested and determined at start of tutoring.

Sessions will take place at the student’s home in a quiet learning environment. Students are encouraged to prepare their workstation and supplies before the start of each session.

Cancellation Policy

ATX Classroom LLC has a 24-hour cancellation policy. Last minute cancellations are not permitted.

If session is cancelled before the 24-hour window, a makeup session will be scheduled within 2 weeks of the missed session if requested. Makeup sessions must take place within the time window of your originally purchased class package and cannot be used to extend or push back your class package end date.

If session is cancelled less than 24 hours before the session, the session is forfeited. Exclusions apply in case of illness or family emergency.

Rates will not be prorated or refunded for missed sessions in either scenario. Missed sessions will not push back other pre-scheduled sessions or change the end date of your class package.

Class Pack Renewal

Packages do not automatically renew.

Two weeks prior to your class package ending, we will touch base to see if you are interested in renewing and decide what package makes the most sense for you and your child.

Termination of Tutoring

If you will not be renewing your class package, please notify me two week prior to the end of your current package. This will allow me to accommodate other students and families.

Refunds

There are no refunds or prorated rates for missed or discontinued sessions.

No Chaperone Waiver

If you need to leave your home during our tutoring session, please do so with the understanding that Valeria Portugal and ATX Classroom LLC will not be held liable for anything that happens in the absence of a chaperone.

“No Closed Doors” Policy

For the comfort and safety of myself and the student, I will not tutor behind closed doors. Sessions should be held in an open, quiet, low-traffic area in the client’s home. Sessions may also be held outdoors in an open, visible space.
